Dear Joan,
The U. S. State Department is playing an appeasement game with the worldýs worst terrorist state. After three decades of a hard-line stance against Iran, the U. S. and the European Union have offered a package of ýincentivesý to Iran.
CLICK HERE to sign the petition today asking President Bush NOT to let the State Department negotiate with Iran, a terrorist state, bent on the destruction of America and Israel.
For the first time in my life, the U.S. government has been willing to negotiate with a terrorist state before that state denounced terrorism. Yasser Arafat was not permitted into the United States when he attempted to speak to the General Assembly in 1988 because he refused to denounce terrorism, and refused to acknowledge Israelýs right to exist. I was the first American journalist to stand up to him at that most infamous press conference during the General Assembly. Arafatýs words meant nothing despite the $11 million that was poured into his personal bank account, and the diplomatic make-over. He was responsible for several thousand terrorist attacks, and continued to be a terrorist until his dying day.
In 1993, he stood at the White House, and smiled at the diplomats applauding him. He said, ýI do this for the peace of the brave.ý What the majority of Americans did not understand was that the phrase ýfor peace of the braveý in Arabic means ýfor the blood of the martyrs.ý
The U. S. is making the same mistake it made when attempting to appease Arafat, except the stakes are a million times greater. The Islamic Fascist regime believes it is on a ýmission from God.ý They value death, not life. They truly believe that they were able to defeat the Soviet Union and collapse its empire by driving the Russians out of Afghanistan. They believe that they humiliated America by driving her out of Lebanon in 1983 following two devastating Iranian terrorist attacks.
The secular media and Leftist liberals are attempting to sedate the America public in order to sell them the policy of ýcut and runý in Iraq. This is precisely what the terrorist regime in Iran wishes to accomplish. Not only are they responsible for the deaths of the vast majority of American troops by providing explosives, intelligence and financing ,and even many of the recruits, but they hope that by doing so, Iran can push its way into Iraq and create a Shiýa, nuclear super-state that can destabilize the Middle East and the world.
CLICK HERE AND please sign this petition today; then forward it to everyone on your list. Letýs keep this going around the world. Iranýs determination to produce nuclear weapons is ultimately a world problem, not just Americaýs problem.
JUST A NOTE TO SAY THE BELOW LETTER IS FROM MIKE EVANS WHO CALLS HIMSELF OUR AMBASSADOR TO ISRAEL AS ISRAEL IS ON MIKE'S HEART ALL THE TIME AS IT IS ON OURS TOO.
THEREFORE, I SEND THIS TO YOU TO CONSIDER - FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS.
